Kaitlyn Rentala

Kaitlyn Rentala is a PhD student in Legal Studies and Business Ethics at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on the intersection of political philosophy and technology platform regulation, with additional interests in technology policy issues such as privacy and content moderation.

Before beginning the PhD program, Kaitlyn worked as a Program Associate with the Liberty and National Security team at the Brennan Center for Justice and was a Fulbright Schuman Scholar to the European Union based in the Netherlands. She is the author of The Public Sector Pivot: How Gen Z Will Lead a Renaissance in Public Service, a book examining ways to strengthen the public sector talent pipeline for college students and has consulted for a number of organizations including the U.S. Department of Defense and the Volcker Alliance.

Kaitlyn holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
